’６６　Novaを拝見しました。　ペイントの仕上がりが凄い上手ですね。日本語で書いているので（文字化けしないといいのですが）、個人的なことをちょっとお話します。僕の妻は日本人です（今妻に訳して貰っています。）　日本的な物に対する（文化や日本人に対して）尊敬の念を抱く様になりました。　日本でアメ車のMuscle Car　に人気があるとは思ってなかったので、ウカイさんが興味がある、ということを知って以外に思いました。　

This took forever to write!! I am impressed that you like the American Muscle. I figured most car kit builders would prefer muscle in JP. Most American builders younger than 35 like Tuners. What are the most popular car kits in JP?

Like Honda Civic, Nissan 240SX?

I think the most popular car kits in Japan is Race Car(WRC rally car,GT car....etc.) ,Supar Sports(Ferrari, Porsche.....etc.) and Japanese Domestic Car(Nissan Skyline, Toyota Supra....etc).

But It is in the tendency which young or child modelers decrease, so Many Modelcar Company has gone bankrupt.

Hey Calkichi! Yes, tuners are compact cars that are "tricked out" for performance. Japanese imports are most popular, but now, many American kids are turning all compacts into tuners. Check out the tuner forum at scaleautomag.com. I like what you and your friend are building much more. I will share some photos of my current project; a 1966 Buick Wildcat. It's an out of production AMT kit. I am interested in Tamiya and Fugimi kits. I'd like to get some Mercedes or similar full size cars to build factory stock style. I understand some of the kits come without engines. Do you have any recommendations?
