復活！ Revived!
HCS 2010 速報！！Kustom Kulture の Top、Robert Williams and Suzanne Williams夫妻が 2010年12月5日（日）に開催される Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2010 に 32 Ford & 34 Fordと共に来日が決定しました。 素晴らしい！

The top of Kustom Kulture, ROBERT WILLIAMS and SUZANNE WILLIAMS will come to Japan for Yokohama Hot Rod and Custom Show 2010 on Sunday December 5th 2010 with '32 FORD and '34 FORD. EXCELLENT !!
2007年1月27日のブログで紹介した Johnie's Broiler Restaurant, 一度 壊されてしまいましたが何とまったく同じに同じ場所に建て直されBob's Big Boy となって復活していました。
On my blog post dated January 27, 2007, I had mentioned about how "Johnie's Broiler Restaurant" was taken down. But it is back ! Exact duplicate building in same place, and returned as "Bob's Big Boy".
昨年の10月に復活したそうですがまったく知りませんでした。
実は Lightning 誌の別冊を読んで知ったと言う 地元に居ながらお恥ずかしい限りです。
It returned in October last year but I didn't know about it at all. I actually saw it in a special issue of the Japanese magazine called "Lightning". Kind of embarrassing for me as this place is in my local area.
それにしても復活するだけも凄いのに昔の建物と何一つ変わっていないのが凄いです。
何でもかんでも新しければ良いと言う物ではありませんね。
It is amazing to see its return and even more amazed to find that building and everything is exactly the same as before. It is a good old thing and makes one think that new things aren't the only good things.
毎週水曜日は Cruise を開催しているそうです。
帰り道 Firestone Blvｄ. で VW の Cruise と遭遇しました。
They are hosting Cruise Night on every Wednesday night.
On the way back home, we saw a VW Cruise on Firestone Blvd.

Grand National Roadster Show
先週末は 61回目！の Grand National Roadster Show (GNRS) でした。Last weekend was the 61st Grand National Roadster Show (GNRS).
Historical Race Car と言うコーナに MOONLINER と MOONEYES Dragster を展示しました。
In the Historical Race Car corner was the MOONLINER and MOONEYES Dragster on display.
素晴らしいクルマばかりの中、笠井さんが選んだ Best of Show は Chip Foose が作ったこれ、僕の Best はこれ
Among all the incredible and stunning cars, Mr. Kasai (Deuce Factory Japan) liked this one built by Chip Foose. My favorite and Best pick was this
1970 Ford Mustang. では？厳選なる審査の結果 61回目 GNRS の Most Beautiful Roadster (Best) に選ばれたのはこのクルマでした
a 1970 Ford Mustang. The final result after careful inspection from all the judges, the 61st GNRS Most Beautiful Roadster (Best) award was this car here:
ちなみに笠井さんはこのクルマが Best に選らばれるでしょうと言ってました。
さすが！脱帽です。この鋭い眼を持った笠井さんは HCS の審査委員の一人でもありますから心強いです。
By the way, Mr. Kasai mentioned earlier during the show that this would be picked as Best.
Wow, I had to tip my hat to his clever insight! Mr. Kasai is also one of the judges at the annual HCS so you can be assured awards are properly awarded.
ブースに居ると赤いカメラをぶら下げた広島 Lefties の山岡さんがやってきました。
When I returned back to the booth, Mr. Yamaoka from Hiroshima Lefties (southern Japan) was there with a red camera around his neck.
会場には昨年の HCS にも展示された Billy F Gibbons の Blackbird も展示されていました。
At the even this year was Bill F Gibbons' Blackbird that was at last year's HCS too.

On July 18 (Sunday) this year is the MOONEYES SUMMER 2010 and we had the official poster on display.
The XMAS Party from last year was covered in heavy rain so we are having a Make Up Dry Event. So be sure to come to Irwindale this summer!!

大雪！
Major Snow
このクラウンを見て下さい。屋根の上には何センチ雪が積もっているのでしょうか。もうクルマがつぶれそうです。
Take a look at this Toyota Crown. I wonder just how many inches of snow is piled on the roof. I think it's about to crush the roof of the car.
ここ数日、北海道や日本海方面では大雪になっているとの事ですが、フィンランドも大雪のようです。
なんでも寒い時はマイナス30度くらいになるとの事、最近はマイナス15度なので結構過ごし易いそうです。
In recent days, Hokkaido (Northern island of Japan) and other parts of northern Japan have been getting a lot of snow. I heard that Finland was getting a lot of snow too.
During this time of the year, cold is around -30 degrees (celsius) which is about -22F. Lately it's been about -15 degrees (just above freezing) so I suppose it's easier to handle.
マイナス15度、フィンランドは℃（摂氏）ですよね！
今朝の横浜は+16度（1月21日）暑かったです。
Minus 15 degrees (C) in Finland is the high!
Last week (1/21) the morning temperature in Yokohama it was +16 degrees (C). It was hot!
