僕の通勤ルート

Officeが横浜本牧に移動してから、通勤が気持ちいいのです。
Homeを出てからJR横浜駅まではこれまでと変わりませんが、途中からいきなり"Hot Rod Custom Show（HCS）"を開催する横浜みなとみらい地区に入ってゆくと、まず左にHCS会場のパシフィコ横浜、正面に大きな観覧車を見ながら進みます。

次第に視界が開け、左に横浜港、そして観光スポットの赤レンガ倉庫、その後ろには横浜大桟橋に停泊中の超大型豪華客船「飛鳥II」が見えます。その反対側には横浜税関の古い建物。

その先の交差点で右折の為信号を待っていると反対には1970 Cudaが右折車線に入ってきました。Cudaの後ろに付いて信号待ちです。この右側は日本大通り、県庁があります。

信号が青になったのでCudaの後ろを行くとCudaは大桟橋方向へ左折、僕はそのまま直進、すぐ左手に山下公園、その先には氷川丸、氷川丸の反対側にはニューグランドホテルとマリンタワー。このニューグランドホテルの左側角部屋はマッカーサールームと呼ばれ、戦後GHQが進駐した際、米軍のマッカーサー元帥が宿泊した部屋だそうです。

次の交差点を右折すれば元町・中華街方面、右斜め前の丘は港の見える丘公園、左折すると横浜港ですが僕はそのまま直進し、本牧に到着します。


"My route to work"

Since my office has moved with in Yokohama to Honmoku, it's nice to drive to work.

My route to work is same from Home to YOKOHAMA Station but after that route changes to New area of Minato Mirai where "Hot Rod Custom Show(HCS)" is held every year. First building seen on the left is Pacifico Yokohama where HCS is held and then driving on with the big ferris wheel in front.

Then gradually sight opens to Yokohama Port on left and on the right is a popular sight seeing spot "Akarenga" Red Brick Warehouse shopping mall. Behind that is modern board walk called "Yokohama Oosan-bashi" where luxury Grand Passenger Vessels are parked and on opposite side is the classic building of Custom Office of Yokohama.


While I was waiting for the lights to turn left on that corner, a 1970 Cuda stopped in right lane on the opposite side of crossing.


After one light, I was waiting for the next light behind the Cuda on the right is Avenue of "Nihon Oodoori" where building of Kanagawa Prefectural Goverment is at. As light changed Cuda turned left to "Oosan-bashi" and I went straight ahead passing "Yamashita Park" and "Hikawamaru" on left. Opposite of "Hikawamaru" is the "Hotel New Grand" and "Marine Tower". The left corner room is called "McArthur Room" where US Military General McArthur stayed during GHQ was stationed after the world war II.

At next intersection, Motomachi and China Town is on right side, "Minato no mieru Oka Park" can be seen in front right side and left side is Yokohama Port but I will go straight to arrive in Honmoku.
