My Pick KAWASAKI 750SS H2
| 先週のMotorcycle "Show & Swap Meet"で一番気になった国産ベースのChopperはこのカワサキ 750SSです。 |

ほぼ日本での国産Chopperのスタイルを決定付けてしまったBrat Styleが製作したXSや、Triumph等に代表されるバーティカル ツインモーター、Honda CB4気筒をべースにしたChopperは多々見られますが、2サイクル3気筒の背の低いモーターを使うのは珍しいですね。でもモーターの背が低い分フレームも低くでき、よりスリークなスタイルになったのだと思います。リジットフレームにHDタンク、Front 21" Rearは16"でしょうか、バランス良く収まっています。そして見るからにうるさそうなクロームのチャンバータイプのマフラー、このバイクが白い煙をはいて、ウィリーしながら街を疾走する姿が容易に想像出来ますね。 |
| 全体的に低いバイクが大好きなので今回のイベントでの僕のピックはこのカワサキに決定しました。セオリーや過去の多くの見本にとらわれない国産カスタムは楽しいですね。これはクルマにも同じ事が言えます。 |
| "My Pick - KAWASAKI 750SS H2" At last weekends Motorcycle "Show & Swap Meet", the most interesting bike for domestic base chopper was this Kawasaki 750SS. Yamaha XS650 which Brat Style has made and known as leading custom chopper style in Japan and other motorcycle has Vertical Twin Motor and HONDA CB4 cylinder base chopper bikes are seen a lot but this 2 cycle 3cylinder base engine's chopper is rare. But as its height is low, frame was able to lay low and more sleek style. This bike has rigid frame with HD tank, 21 inch wheel in Front and 16 inch in rear(I guess), which is keeping good balance. Than this chrome chambers type mufflersa are probably loud as it looks. I can easily imagine this bike riding away with front end up in air in street. Overall I like the low profile motorcycle, so I picked this one for the prize of this event. It is fun to see Japanese customs where no rules about following past theory or examples. This can be said same for Japanese car too. |
