明日はXmasイブですね。皆さん色々とプランがあると思います。素晴らしいXmasを過ごしてください。 今回はMOONEYES USA Machine Shopで修理中のMOONEYES Dragsterと、製作中のChico's Land Speed Record用 Roadsterの進行状況をお知らせします。 |
| まずDragsterですが、フレームがやっとパウダーコート（ペイントです）から上がってきました。カウル等はそのまま古い物を使おうと思っていたのですが、一部だけ少々寸法が違った為、それを製作するのに時間が掛かったり、ヘダーのメッキに時間が掛かったりで、まったく自分の頭で考えるようには進みません。本当は先々週のMOONEYES USA Xmas Partyには展示できるつもりで進めていたのですがそれもミスしてしまい、次は3月くらいまで大きなイベントは無いので、またスローペースで進める事になりそうです。僕のGuessとしては3月も駄目かもしれませんね。まぁ、思うように進まないのがUSAです。 |

さて、ChicoのRoadsterもやっとRear End部分が形になったように見えますが、これも仮付け状態です。一瞬進んでいるなって感じですが、実はそうでもありません。 |

| でも来年のEl Mirageの第一回目は5月5日＆6日ですから、まだ半年近くあります。時間は十分余裕ですが、これもその時まで出来ないかもしれません。El Mirageは5、6、7、9、10＆11月、それに8月のBonneville Speed Weekを入れると7回はチャンスがありますので、そのうちどれか一回は走れると思います。クロスフィンガーですけど！ 今年もBonnevilleには行けなかったので、来年はChicoのCrewで行こうと思っています。ただ観に行くよりも、誰かがエントリーしている時のほうが居場所があっていいですよね。 メリークリスマス！ 2007 SCTA/BNI Event Schedule ■ El Mirage ■ May 5-6th / June 10th / July 15th / Sept 16th / Oct 21st / Nov 10-11th ■ Bonneville ■ Aug 11-17th Speed Week / Oct 3-6th World Finals |
| "MOONEYES USA Machine Shop" Tomorrow night is Xmas eve. Guess everyone has various plan. Wish you will have Very Merry Xmas. This issue will report on progress of making of MOONEYES Dragster and Chico's Land Speed Record Roadster at MOONEYES USA Machine Shop. First the Dragster has finally come back after being powder coated. It took time to adjust one of the old cowl to fit on the new frame, chroming of headers took time too and things don't go fast as I hope to. It was suppose to be ready for MOONEYES USA Xmas Party for exhibition but it missed and next big event is on March 2007 so the pace will slow down on the progress which I guess we will miss again for an event on March again. Now Chico's Roadster looks like it has finally got rear end parts together but its just temporary assemble. It looks it has progressed but not really. Still may not make it on time. First El Mirage on next year is on May 5th and 6th, so we still have a half year and even though its enough time to complete, I think it may not be completed by then. El Mirage is on June, July, September, October, November and Bonneville Speed Week on August makes 7 chances and hope we can make one run sometime. Cross fingers for that! I couldn't go to Bonneville this year so next year I want to go as crew for Chico. It's better to go as crew with somewhere to be then just to go to watch.
