映画ではありません
これは映画の宣伝ではなく、先週金曜日夜、メキシコボーダー(国境)からカナダボーダーまで走る、西海岸の大動脈とも言えるフリーウェイ I-5で起きた事故がLA Timesに掲載された写真です。
I-5は上下線（と言うかどうか分かりませんが）が通行止めとなり、復旧に5日も掛かるだろうと言われる大事故です。ちょうど我々はその場所を通過しさらに100マイル程先の町で開催されたNHRA Hot Rod Reunionに参加する為、事故の前日の木曜日の夜に現地に入っていました。
迂回するムーントレイラー＆トランスポーター
普通なら2時間と少々走れば着く200マイル程度の所ですが、帰りは通行止めの為、もの凄い迂回をし5時間近く掛かってShopに戻りました。疲れました。NHRA Hot Rod Reunionは週末に報告します。
渋滞の模様です
This is not commercial for Movie, Last Friday nights accident at west coast major artery I-5 Freeway had been posted on LA Times. The I-5 Freeway had both directions closed and it was a big accident which may need 5 days to fully recover.
We passed this accident area and went about 100 miles on Thursday night to join the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion. It usually takes 2 hours from MOONEYES USA Shop and only about 200 miles, but on the way back, with I-5 closed and taking many detours, It took us 5 hours to get back to our shop. I was really tired when I got back. I will report about NHRA Hot Rod Reunion on weekend.
