カリフォルニア ドライバーズ ライセンス
今年の５月は、California Drivers Licenseの更新でした。日本の更新ですと、横浜の場合は警察へ行って視力検査して、安全運転のビデオを見ていると更新された免許証を貰えますが、Californiaの場合、更新のお手紙が来てそこにサインし、更新費用$18のチェックを所定の封筒に入れて送れば、更新された免許証が送られてきます。
しかし免許証上顔写真は昔のままで送られてきます。
ちなみにボクの写真は、10年前の43歳位の物が、53歳になった今でも載っているのです。
現状と比べたら、当然ですが明らかに若いです。
このまま６０歳になっても、同じ写真なのでしょうか？
何はともあれ、無事更新できました。

I had my California Driver's license renewed.
Renewal of Driver's License in Japan takes more process such as taking eyesight test at the Police Station and watching an education movie for safe driving.
Compare that, the renewal in California is much easier.
A letter for renewal comes in the mail and I return it with check for eighteen dollars and my signature.
The renewed Driver's License will come in the mail later.
But renewed Driver's License will have the same picture as last one.
By the way, my picture was taken 10years ago,
I am 53 years old now but the picture was taken when I was 43.
Picture is younger than real for sure.
Guess the same picture will be on it even when I get sixty.
What ever it is, it is renewed with no problem.
