古い写真が出てきました。1975年頃の本牧です。
先日、写真の整理をしていたら、昔撮った写真が沢山出てきた中の一枚です。多分、1975年頃だと思います。
横浜本牧にあった米軍施設で、ここだけは出入りが自由かどうかは知りませんが、勝手に入って写真を撮っていました。
USAのスーパーマーケットのような広々とした駐車場に、色々な車が停まっていました。
とその時、二人乗りのCB750が駐車場から出て行ったので、思わず写真を撮ったのだと思います。
写っている路上の車も良い感じですね。
後方に見える大きな建物が、今の山手警察署、ちょうどMustangの辺りが、MOONEYES
Area-1周辺になります。
空がLAの様に広いです。
それにしても、CB750が小さく見えますね！
カメラは36枚撮りフィルムを入れると、72枚撮れるハーフサイズのリコーオートハーフ、
自動的に巻き上げてくれるから「オート」ですが、確かゼンマイでした。
It's a photo of Honmoku, Yokohama area sometime around 1975.
The other day while sorting through photographs, a bunch of old pictures taken around 1975 were found.
At that time, Honmoku, Yokohama was a military facility for the US Armed Forces. It seemed anyone could freely roam in/out of this area on the base but I don't know for sure. Without confirming, I wandered around where this photo was taken. It was a spacious parking lot, much like those found at Super Markets in USA today. There were all kinds of cars parked there. Just at that moment, a tandem riding pair on a Honda CB750 was leaving the lot. Without a second thought, I snapped this photograph. Check out some of those cars on the street in the background.
The large building in the background, on the left side of the photo is the location of the current Yamate Police Station. At just about the same position as the Mustang, on the right side of the photo is where MOONEYES Area-1 now stands. Almost hard to believe it's Japan. The sky even seems spacious, like Southern California, almost.
Even that CB750 looks so small!
The film used for this photo was a standard roll of 36 but the camera's feature, called Ricoh Auto Half Frame, was used to double the amount of photos to 72. Although it was called Auto, initial winding was manual... if I recall.
