続の続 27 Modified T -LSR
遂に完成です。
Bonneville Speed Weekまでにはペイントする予定なので、今回は文字描きはせず、ステッカーをはりました。
このＥｙｅｂａｌｌステッカー、Dean MOON時代の秘蔵品、1960年代前半水張りステッカーです。
このステッカーで、全てを語れますね。
準備も整い、金曜日の昼には、El Mirageへ向けて出発です。
MOON Equipment Companyって感じがします。
Chicoは自分で作った車で、200ｍｐｈ以上を出そうって言うのですから凄いですね！
土曜日に夜はSanta Monicaで、Don Ed Hardy氏が発行した、Kustom Japan Bookの、
発売記念レセプションもありますので、WildmanはEl Mirageへ行ったり、Santa Monicaへ行ったり、大変な一日になりそうです。
M&K、Makoto、Mr. G、日本の巨匠達も参加するこのレセプション、凄そうです！
Chico's '27 T Modified Roadster is finally ready!
There are plans for paint and detail work by the time of Bonneville Speed Week but for this weekend it will run without it, and instead of freehand lettering, we'll use stickers.
This Moon Equipped Eyeball Sticker is a cherished item from the Dean Moon era. It's a water-slide decal from the early 1960's
Just by looking over the entire sticker, you can easily tell it's from that period.
With preparation complete and in order, we'll be heading out for El Mirage at about noon on Friday.
It really has that MOON Equipment Company feeling and vibe.
Chico says to attempt over 200mph in a car built by your own hands, it is an incredible feeling. It's amazing!
Saturday night, in Santa Monica, California is the opening reception for Kustom Japan (Mike McCabe photographs) and Don Ed Hardy exhibitions at Track 16 Gallery. They worked together on the excellent hard cover photo book titled, "Kustom Japan" which focuses on the Hot Rod and Kustom Kulture scene in Japan.
The opening reception is from 6PM and there will be many artists and guests attending. Wildman will be there. He'll be at El Mirage and Santa Monica all in one day - one of the reasons he got the name Wildman in the first place!
Other Japanese pinstripers will be at Track 16 Gallery as well including M&K Makoto, Mr. G and others. You can bet the reception will be awesome!
