We had spare time so in the evening we took a ferry from Balboa Island across to the other side of Newport Beach for a cruise.

Finally got on the ferry after waiting on a narrow street for the dozens in line. Although I call it a ferry, it can only transport three cars plus people at a time. It was a 5 minute ride and cost just $4 for the car and 3 people, but the view of Newport Beach are spectacular.

The gate was risen, you could see all the cars lined up waiting to board and go back.

It was a strange feeling to leave the ferry and come ashore. We headed to a restaurant called Crab Cooker which is located near the Newport Beach pier. Just as the name indicates, they serve Wildman's favorite, crab, and the reason we went there.

It's a very popular restaurant and any time you go there's a long line. People sit and wait outside in line and while waiting the evening turned to twilight.

We waited 30 minutes and our name was called. This was the scene as we entered the restaurant. When we got to our seat, outside was already dark.

The lighting, the aroma in the air, overall the atmosphere, it would be cool to see a nice classic car in this picture.

What do we see, on the opposite side of the street was a '56 Chevy parked making the scene look overdone. But so cool! As I was really getting into the views our dinner was brought to our table. An interesting thing about this place is they use paper plates, plastic cups and utensils. All of it is disposable.

First, Shrimp & Crab Cocktail, then the most recommended Tomato Base Clam Chowder, Manhattan Clam Chowder. This tastes great!

Clam Chowder on Fridays, but it was Sunday. In the back is soup and in front is beer.

The huge order of crab that was ordered made Wildman really excited and happy.

But his face turned serious when he began to eat. Why is it when people eat crab they look so serious and don't talk much like they are in a scuffle with the crab?

Once the inside meat starts to come out, the happy face returns.

After finishing the delicious dinner, it was pitch black outside. Although it's May in Newport Beach, night time was rather cold.

On the 16th & 17th, at A-1 MOON Garage, there will be three domestic cars built by MOONEYES on display. The Debonair "MOON Glow", Gloria "Glory Rod" and finally the Crown Pick Up with a Chevy V-8 will be there to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the shop opening.
